Summary

The Longneck Rifle is a single-shot, highly accurate hunting-style rifle with a notably long reload time.

It's unlocked at level 35 and requires 18 Engram points to learn.

Crafting the rifle yields 330 XP and it's crafted in the Smithy, Argentavis Saddle, Castoroides Saddle, Thorny Dragon Saddle, Tek Replicator, or Exo-Mek, with a prerequisite of the Flare Gun.

The crafting ingredients include 95 Metal Ingots or Scrap Metal Ingots, 20 Wood or Fungal Wood, and 25 Hide.

The Longneck Rifle can use various ammo types, including Simple Rifle Ammo, Tranquilizer Dart, Shocking Tranquilizer Dart, and Pheromone Dart.

It inflicts 280 ranged damage and 10 melee damage, with a fire rate of 0.22 rounds per second and a magazine size of 1. However, creatures take only 70% damage from guns, reducing its damage to 196 against them.

The rifle is not usable underwater and has specific design drawbacks, like sway when using a scope and the inability to use attachments with Tranquilizer Darts.
