Summary

Tranq Arrows are used for rendering creatures unconscious and are less harmful than other arrows.

They are compatible with the Bow, Crossbow, and Compound Bow.

Each Tranq Arrow weighs 0.2 and can be stacked up to 100. To craft them, players need to be at least level 21 and spend 8 Engram points. The crafting process takes 1 second and yields 0.1 XP.

The ingredients for a Tranq Arrow are 1 Stone Arrow, 2 Thatch, 2 Fiber, 1 Flint, and 1 Narcotic. The Narcotic itself is made from 5 Narcoberries and 1 Spoiled Meat. Upon hitting a target, a Tranq Arrow increases the victim's torpor immediately by 200% of the weapon's damage and adds an additional 250% over the next 4 seconds.

The torpor-over-time effect of multiple Tranq Arrows stacks, meaning players don't have to wait between shots to maximize torpor.

However, if the creature is close to unconsciousness, it is advisable to wait after each shot.

A Tranq Arrow fired from a Crossbow is more effective than one from a Bow or Compound Bow, but bows allow quicker succession of shots.

Additionally, flying creatures take increased damage from Tranq Arrows.
